The new Newton Public Library will feature more windows, and more natural light, throughout the building. Of course, more windows means less wall space, and hence less space to hang art.

On Nov. 3 and 4, the public is invited to participate in a silent auction featuring around three dozen paintings and posters that will not be traveling with us to the other side of Military Park. Viewing and bidding hours will be Friday, Nov. 3, from 1 to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the library
