Once Newton Public Library reopens in its new building on April 1, patrons will be able to borrow Orion StarBlast 4.5" telescopes. These powerful tools will allow backyard astronomers to magnify the night sky up to 226x and see things such as Saturn's rings, the moons of Jupiter, and craters on the moon. During this introductory program, you'll learn how to use the telescope and can sign up to check it out once it becomes available. This will be an indoor program and will be held rain or shine. A second session, 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Kauffman Museum, will be held outdoors. No registration needed.
