The Newton Kansan, Harvey County Now and Historical Newspapers
- Newton Kansan issues starting in 1994, AND all issues of Newton Now and Harvey County Now, are available online via the library’s Community History Archive. These issues are full-text searchable. Newer issues of each paper are not available until at least a year has passed; check harveycountynow.com and thekansan.com or contact the library for assistance.
- Historical Newton newspapers from 1875 through 1923 have been digitized and are available online via the Kansas State Historical Society.
- Kansan papers from 1924 to 1993 are available on microfilm at the library. The library’s volunteer-created obituary index may aid your research.
