At 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, Newton Public Library will join other public and school libraries across the state, celebrating “Kansas Reads to Preschoolers.”
The NPL event will feature snacks; drinks; free books to take home; a puppet show; and storytime featuring this year’s statewide selection, “I Like Myself!” by Karen Beaumont.
Kansas Reads to Preschoolers is an initiative of the State Library of Kansas.
“Local libraries play a big role in early childhood learning,” said Eric Norris, Kansas State Librarian. “As Kansas Reads to Preschoolers continues to grow each year, our hope is that more children will discover the joy of reading.”
