Fall StoryTime is underway!

Parents and babies have fun with small plastic balls during a Baby StoryTime session.

Newton Public Library’s fall StoryTime season is underway!

We’re excited to announce a new partnership between the library and our friends at the Cooper Early Education Center! This fall, Baby StoryTime will be co-facilitated by Ashley Snodgrass, from Harvey County Infant Toddler Services, and Brittany Denson, from Parents as Teachers.  Ashley and Brittany bring a wealth of experience in early childhood education, and we look forward to having them here as part of the Baby StoryTime experience!

Also, please note the changes to our weekly StoryTime schedule. Programs that previously began at 10:30 a.m. will now begin at 11 a.m. This is to allow sufficient time to play and reset the room between StoryTimes.

Speaking of “play,” we’re looking for some household objects to make into toys.  Before you recycle any of the following objects, please bring them to the Youth Services office:

  • large cereal boxes (Family-Sized Cheerios, for example)
  • oatmeal containers with plastic lids
  • paper towel rolls
  • 2 liter plastic soda bottles
